At Spartans Youth Rugby Club, we take immense pride in the development of our young athletes. We’re thrilled to share the success stories of some of our former players who have continued to make a significant impact in the world of rugby. Here’s a glimpse of where they are now:

Angelica Castillo

Among our accomplished Lady Spartans, Angelica Castillo stands out as a beacon of excellence. She took her passion for rugby to the collegiate level, proudly representing Spartans Rugby Club at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. Angelica’s dedication to the sport and her journey from our youth program to collegiate rugby exemplify the values of commitment, teamwork, and determination instilled at Spartans. We celebrate her achievements and look forward to witnessing the continued success of our Lady Spartans both on and off the rugby field.

Larry Vojacek (L)

Larry, a Spartan’s alumni has found his rugby home at Sam Houston State University, contributing to the team’s success and embodying the values instilled in him during his time with the Spartans.  Larry even joined up with the PAC Grizzlies and played in the NCR Men’s Allstar Tournament.

Marshall Garcia

Marshall has also found his  rugby home at Sam Houston State University, contributing to the team’s success and embodying the values instilled in him during his time with the Spartans.

Matthew Gonzalez

Matthew Gonzalez is representing Spartans Youth Rugby Club proudly at Aquinas College. His commitment to the game and his alma mater is truly inspiring.

Nathan Elias

Nathan Elias is making strides towards his dream of playing in Major League Rugby (MLR) as he competes with HTX, a pathway team to the Houston Sabercats. His journey is a testament to the opportunities that lie ahead for our talented athletes.

Carson Robl

Carson Robl has taken his passion for rugby to Adrian College, where he continues to excel on the field. His dedication to the sport remains unwavering.

Jordan Torres

Jordan Torres is now making waves as a part of the Arkansas State University rugby team. He’s showcasing the skills and determination he honed during his time with the Spartans.

Max Wilson

Max Wilson, an exciting addition to our list of accomplished alumni, has had a remarkable rugby journey. He played with Rugby HTX, West Houston Lions, and made appearances with the USA Hawks and the USA 23 teams, showcasing his talent on the national stage. Max’s rugby adventures also took him overseas as he joined Bourges XV, gaining valuable international experience. Today, Max continues to make his mark in the rugby world as he proudly represents the Rockford Ravens. His diverse rugby career is a testament to the opportunities and experiences that the sport offers, and we are eager to follow his ongoing success.

Brandon Dysarz

Brandon Dysarz is donning the maroon and white jersey of Texas A&M, where he’s making a name for himself in college rugby. His dedication to the sport is a reflection of the values we hold dear at Spartans Youth Rugby Club.

Julian Lawhorn

Known for standing tall as one of the tallest players on any roster, Julian Lawhorn towers at an impressive 6’7″. His commanding presence on the field has been a formidable asset for Spartans Rugby Club. Julian continued his rugby journey by joining the HTX pathway team to the Houston Sabercats, showcasing not only his height but also his skills and dedication to the game. His contributions to both Spartans and the pathway team highlight the diverse talents within our alumni, and we eagerly anticipate Julian’s continued success in the world of rugby.
